At CBC we believe that outreach is a large part of our mission as a church. We support various ministries in the community. Here you will find some information about the ministries that we support.

Central Illinois Foodbank
The Central Illinois Foodbank’s mission is to collect donated food and grocery items from growers, manufacturers, processors, wholesalers and retailers for distribution to charitable agencies serving those in need. The Foodbank also organizes special projects to raise food for those in need and works with public and private organizations to develop creative solutions to prevent and end hunger.

Contact Ministries
"Helping people in times of need"
We provide 32 meals to Contact Every Wednesday night. On every fifth Wednesday we also provide 32 meals for Helping Hands. Anytime that someone helps out with Wednesday night dinner they are helping support these ministries!

Mary Bryant Home
The Mary Bryant Home for the Blind offers housing with a lively community atmosphere for the visually impaired, located in Springfield, Illinois. As an certified supportive living facility for the blind, the Mary Bryant Home offers it's residents a wide variety of activities, as well as an enhanced quality of life by promoting a life style that's geared to meet the needs of the residents. Making the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind a very unique independent living facility for the blind and visually impaired.

Sojourn Center
The Sojourn Center provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. In addition to a safe place to stay, they offer individual counseling and educational group services. They provide community referrals and advocacy for our clients. They also have a confidential, 24-hour hotline for emergencies and support.

Washington Street Mission
The Washington Street Mission is ministry committed to building on its growing ministry to unemployed and homeless men as well as expanding and enhancing its ministries to children, youth and families in poverty.

Kumler Food Pantry
The Kumler Food Pantry serves nearly 600 households every month with food assistance. They provide short-term emergency food for families and individuals in crisis.
