We’ll be skiing at Cascade Mountain and Devil’s Head ski resort! Check out their web sites for more information:

If you’ve never skied before, don’t worry! We’ll have a beginner’s ski lesson on Friday night. If this will be your first time ever skiing, we strongly recommend you participate.

You can also take advantage of lessons on youtube to learn a few things before SKWIM, here is one exame of the tutorials you can find:

On Sunday, you’ll have the option to either go night skiing or go to Kalahari Indoor Water Park! They have some great slides, pools, and other attractions. To find out more visit Kalahari’s web site:

Daily times of worship are a key part of the SKWIM experience. Our hope is that students will have a great time skiing and swimming with friends and in the midst of the fun, we hope you’ll be refreshed by learning about God’s love for you.

This year we will be taught by Evan Posey. Evan is a youth pastor and a Christian Apologist that seeks to equip believers with the tools to develop an accurate Christian worldview, encouraging apologetic evangelism within the family, church, school, and community. It is his conviction that apologetic’s greatest fruit bearing potential is achieved when it is applied within a believer’s immediate circles of influence.

We’ll also be led into worship by a great group of musicians from the Springfield area! Following each worship session we will have times for youth groups to debrief and think through the topics discussed. This is going to be a great year at SKWIM, we’re prayerfully anticipating the ways that God will work in the hearts of all who are present.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations for SKWIM are at Green Lake Conference Center. The rooms are hotel style so bedding and towels will be taken care of. Our meeting space for worship will be in the same building as our rooms. Youth groups will room together in groups of four or six.
